Welcome

You've landed on the homepage for "Photography by Mike", located in Millinocket, Maine. I photograph sports and seniors. I am also the school photographer for the Millinocket School District. I don't photograph weddings, families, babies, pets, etc. When I'm not at your athletes event, I like to spend time communing with nature.

If you've never been to Millinocket, here are a few items to get you started:

  1. We're centrally located in the state at exit 244 of I-95. While there only about 60 more miles of I-95 before you reach the Canadian boarder, we are nowhere near the northern part of the state.
  2. We're the closest town to the Northern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail, which is located on Katahdin within Baxter State Park.
  3. Millinocket is known as "The Magic City" because it sprang to life when a paper mill was built in the late 1800's, opening in 1901. It wasn't easy to get here as there were no roads (or very primitive ones) to town. The railroad was the best option.

Below are some photos of the area.
